About the book

I wrote this book after decades of academic research and practical application as a qualified personal trainer and teacher in the fitness and health sciences. As a former marathoner, triathlete, and masters sprinter (yes, I know) I have done some hard yards.
In addition, I explored my own magnificent family’s health journeys and took note of the things that helped them and also the things that made them ill, perhaps at too early an age for some of them. I hope you like it.
